God is Owner - We are Stewards
Psalm 50:10 (God declares) For as the animals of the forest are mine,
and I own the cattle on a thousand hills,
I know every bird on the mountains, and all the animals of the field are mine.
If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for all the world is mine and everything in it!
Haggai 2:5 According to the word that I have covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you:
Fear not!
For thus says the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land.
And I will shake all the nations, and the desire of all nations shall come:
and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts.
The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the Lord of hosts.
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts:
and in this place will I give peace, says the Lord of hosts.
Colossians 2:13 And unto you who were dead in your trespasses and in the un-circumcision of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), God brought to life together with Christ, having freely forgiven us all our transgressions.
Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which were in force and against us.
This note of obligation He set aside and cleared completely out of the way, nailing it to the cross with Jesus. (our debt fully, and permanently paid, in all ways possible)
From God's viewpoint, He owns all of that which He created.
And He created everything we can know.
Acts 14:15 We (apostles of Jesus) also are only human beings, of nature like your own,
and we bring you the good news (gospel) that you should turn away from these foolish and vain things (of the world and the flesh),
to the living God, Who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything they contain.
God can and will destroy this temporary creation we see in due time, to establish a new heaven and a new earth for His people to dwell in peace.
Isaiah 65:17 For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth.
And the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind.
2Peter 3:13 But we look for new heavens and a new earth, according to God's promise, in which righteousness (freedom from sin, right standing with God) is to abide!
God has given mankind dominion over the things of the earth, but He never gave us ownership.
And now, Jesus is permanently positioned by God as the singular Lord over all creation.
Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call unto Him!
Those who believe in their heart and declare with their mouth that Jesus is the Son of God and Lord of all, they are the body of Christ in the earth, and the children of God eternally.
John 6:47 Jesus says, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believes in me has eternal life".
God alone bestows life, and gives us the power to get wealth.
Deuteronomy 8:18 But you shall remember the Lord thy God, for it is He that gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore unto your fathers.
God wants us to have dominion over His wealth, and to have rule over them who are not His own, all those who are of the world.
This is important!
Our being good stewards over what wealth He has given us honors God.
Our good stewardship acknowledges that we desire what He desires, for we trust Him.
We must also believe He can shift wealth into and out of any hands, as He wills.
Matthew 25:29 (NLT) To those who use well what they have been given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance.
But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away!
None of the wealth of the earth is really ours.
But if we purposefully manage wealth in the way that God personally leads us, trusting Him to provide our own need and what He would have us give, then we will continue to possess wealth, with increase.
God has one goal in the earth; the spearhead of all that He does in this present world.
He wants that all men would hear the good news about Jesus, and believing in Him, they would receive their forgiveness and be reconciled to God, now having eternal life.
Matthew 18:14 Jesus tells us "It is not the will of my Father in heaven that one of these little ones should remain lost and perish"
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
As we each stay focused on that same objective, and commit to being useful for His purpose, then God's protection and benefits overshadow us.
Man cannot overtake the children of God for their own purposes.
We belong to God, and He keeps us, as a shepherd cares for His flock.
John 10:27 Jesus tells us "The sheep that are my own hear me, and are listening to my voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.
And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages.
And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand.
My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all else;
and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
I and the Father are One".
We can continually rest in the assurance that God protects us, and makes us rich by His own power that dwells in us, the Holy Spirit.
1John 4:13 And hereby we know that we dwell in Christ, and He dwells in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
Let us then strive continually to keep our heart and our mind attentive to sharing the good news of salvation with those who are still lost, sharing our own knowledge, time and wealth as God has prepared our heart and guides our steps.
Romans 8:14 As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the children of God.
As born-again believers in Christ Jesus, we are now of heaven, and are no longer of the earth.
We are living spirits, like God, and have a soul and a body.
1Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall be made alive.
All that we come to possess remains the property of our Father.
Let us be ever thankful for what He has allowed us to hold!
Let us also commit to continually learn from Him to use what we have for His highest good, with an expectancy that increase will surely come if we do!
Matthew 13:12 For whosoever has spiritual knowledge, to him will more be given and he will be furnished richly so that he will have abundance; but from him who has no spiritual knowledge, even what he has will be taken away.
In Jesus' name, may peace and prosperity be unto you and your home!
and I own the cattle on a thousand hills,
I know every bird on the mountains, and all the animals of the field are mine.
